A&E and Ward 1C

Summary: A&E and Ward 1C

I have been on ward 1C for 3 days after I was admitted through A&E. I waited 17 hours in A&E with chest pain. I was triaged quite quickly and told at 2pm that I would be admitted but was not actually admitted to the ward until 3am and it wasn't until 8am that I saw a doctor when they came on the ward round. During my time in A&E, I was not offered any food or drink. I attended A&E with a doctors note and had been in the week before with the same issue, and I still had to wait 17 hours. The staff in A&E were great but there was no communication. Ward 1C is great, I think I will be getting moved to the Cardiac ward.
